Spring Blog Carnival: The Match-Making Booth

Disclaimer: This post is not meant to be offensive!  It is meant to be funny and entertaining.  I'm a very sarcastic person and I like to laugh.  I hope you do too.

*in Professor Trelawney’s voice* *I’m dressed in a long robe with huge sleeves and it’s got a space design on it*

Hello my awesome followers.  My name is Emily, and I am the owner of this Match-Making Booth.

Do you have no love life?  Have you scared away every date you’ve had since you were 14?  Well don’t worry, I can help you.  I can show you what true romantic happiness looks like. *that sudden stop noise thingy from cartoons* *normal voice* Of course, you won’t actually feel this happiness because you’re hopeless.  I can just show you how fictional characters have a better love life than you *back to Professor Trelawney’s voice*.  I can show you how happy a person can be, how they can love another person, and how they are attracted to each other in the first place.  Behold, some of the most awesome, romantic romances of all time.

Valek and Yelena (from Poison Study):

*still Trelawney’s voice* Yes, when they first met, Valek was trying to poison Yelena – but that was all worked out in the end.  Instead, they came to care about each other and love each other.  And aren’t they one kick-ass team! *coughs* Sorry.  I got a bit carried away.  The moral of this story is…YOU CAN’T EVEN GET SOMEONE TO POISON YOU, LET ALONE DATE YOU! *coughs* I am so sorry.

Sam and Grace (from Shiver):

Sam is a werewolf, Grace is just a normal girl, and they fall in love in such a hauntingly sweet way that you can’t help but sigh when you read about it.  It is so obvious that they love each other, and there is so much affection between them.  All that just reminds you that if a werewolf ever saw you, instead of falling in love, it would run away.

I realize that that is only two examples of romance, but please remember, that is still two more than you’ve ever had.

Now, I want to test you.  I know that, since you have no love life (or life at all), you read books.  *that sudden stop noise thingy from cartoons* *normal voice* Honestly, I can’t figure why you would torture yourself by reading sweet romances when you can’t even get the blind hunch-back next door to go to lunch with you *back to Professor Trelawney’s voice*.  I’m going to test you on your knowledge of fictional romances.  *waves hand* Below is a list of fictional girls and fictional guys in fictional romances.  (They've been mixed up so the girl/guy across from each other aren't actually a couple.  Guys on left, girls on right):
