The hotly-anticipated sequel to the New York Timesbestseller The Selection.

Thirty-five girls came to the palace to compete in the Selection. All but six have been sent home. And only one will get to marry Prince Maxon and be crowned princess of Illea.

But whenever she sees Aspen standing guard around the palace, and is overcome with memories of the life they planned to share. With the group narrowed down to the Elite, the other girls are even more determined to win Maxon over—and time is running out for America to decide.

And while she’s struggling to imagine her future, the violent rebels that are determined to overthrow the monarchy are growing stronger and their plans could destroy her chance at any kind of happy ending

  1. I haven't read the first book, and I promised myself I wouldn't because of the author's (and her representative's) behavior, but I know my curiosity will probably win out. :( Like it did with Carrier of the Mark. Anyway, I'm glad YOU enjoyed it enought to get excited about the sequel, and I hope the second book is even better than the first for you. Happy reading!

  2. This book is everyone! It's making me want to go down the the bookstore! I'm excited for it even with all the crazy drama that went one. :D I Love the covers. Great pick Emily!

  3. I like the cover for this one! It's glamorous and multi-layered, just like the first book's cover!

  4. I absolutely fell in love with the selection! I was so upset though when I found out that you never find out if Maxon picks her, though I'm pretty sure that he will!

  5. The Selection is definitely one of my 2012 favorite reads, I cannot wait to find out what happens in this one, great pick!
