Cover Comparisons is an awesome meme hosted by Fictional Distraction where you choose a book and feature different versions of the book cover, and people vote on which one they like best.

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
US/UK
Even though neither one of these covers links to what happens in the book, I would have to say I like the US version better.
The UK version is just wierd. I'm not sure where the designers got the idea, but it isn't a very good one. At all.

I like both covers. Though I think the UK cover is going to be the US paperback cover? It is very pretty, but you are right, has nothing to do with the book. :)

On her FB posts the author says she really likes the UK hardback (which will be the US paperback) cover and she really feels the cover represents the book. I haven't read this book yet so I can't say whether I agree or not. But I do think it is really funky and creepy so I like both covers.
ReplyDeleteI like the one with the eye better. I feel that it represents the book better actually, especially the way Tahereh Mafi writes. Though the US one is pretty.
ReplyDeleteI read the book and liked it very much even though Dystopia is not my thing.
ReplyDeleteI don't really get the second cover????
At least the first cover makes some sense.
I think the first cover makes more sense than the second, I just don't understand what the eye has to do with the book? I prefer the first cover :)
